Ease into parenthood with practical help and guidance during those first few weeks.

A postpartum doula is a trained professional who supports families in the weeks and months following the birth of a baby. My role is to assist with the transition to parenthood, providing both practical and emotional support. Here are some of the things a postpartum doula might do:

  1. Emotional Support: I offer a listening ear and help new parents navigate the emotional challenges that can come with having a newborn, including postpartum mood changes.

  2. Practical Assistance: Postpartum doulas can help with tasks such as meal preparation, light housework, and organizing the home to make life a bit easier during the early days.

  3. Infant Care: They assist with basic infant care, such as helping with feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques, which can give parents a chance to rest.

  4. Education: I provide information on newborn care, breastfeeding, and parenting techniques, helping parents feel more confident in their new roles.

  5. Family Adjustment: I support the entire family in adjusting to the new dynamics, which might include helping siblings (and furry family members) adjust to the new baby and supporting partners in their roles.

Overall, as a postpartum doula I help to ease the transition into parenthood by providing a range of services tailored to the family’s needs.

As a postpartum doula I offer daytime postpartum support as well as overnight care for new parents and their families. Services start at $55/hour.

Overnight Support

$65+/hour - 8 hours —  Overnight care can be helpful for all parents. It is a great way to learn some tips and tricks of how to get your newborn to fall asleep easily and get a good stretch of sleep yourself. During the night while your baby sleeps I tidy up the house, do a few loads of laundry and if you are breastfeeding I bring baby to you when she is ready to eat so you never have to leave the comfort of your own bed. When morning comes you will wake to a fresh and clean home and breakfast prepared for you.

Postpartum Planning Session

$100 for 1 hour session — Everyone knows how important it is to have a birth plan, but what about a postpartum plan? Postpartum planning sessions are a new service I am offering as a standalone service or add-on for current clients. We will go over the basics of feeding, sleeping and support plans but also dive deeper into what you can do to make your postpartum experience a success.

Twins and Multiples

$70+/hour — I have experience working with families of multiples and can offer day time and overnight support to these families.

Gift Cards

Variable hourly rate — I offer gift cards! Postpartum Doula services make a great gift to a friend or loved one expecting.
